The Flyboard is one of the newest extreme sports! It is an accessory that attaches to a PWC (Personal Watercraft) which gives the Flyboard propulsion through air and water. The thrust from the PWC is routed through a long hose up to the Flyboard where a rider can divert and control that thrust to create any type of movement he/she desires. Riders are scored for the tricks and skills they show during a 3 minute time frame.
Device power is controlled by a throttle on the PWC. The equipment may be used in two modes: The primary one requires two people, one to control the PWC throttle which regulates the power and height of the rider. The secondary mode relies on an accessory called an Electronic Management Kit (EMK) which allows the rider to control the PWC throttle.
The rider will be standing on a board connected to long hose which is attached to watercraft, the jet propulsion system which controls the watercraft will now be coming out the board which is attached to the rider. Riders can go up to 15m in the air. It takes some practice but once you get the hang of it you will be diving like a dolphin and soaring like an eagle.
